SSuF online marketing decisions

I am about to share SSuF's marketing decisions.

Well, some of you have found us via our ads on facebook. I have decided to discontinue the ads because they are getting too expensive. The facebook ads are very effective I must say. They were my first attempt at PPC ads, and the results surprised me. However, we don't earn anything from SSuF and the ads really got too expensive.

If you search Google for "Singapore entrepreneur forum", SSuF now ranks 9th and is on the first search results page of Google. Not bad, and it can move up slightly further. But to my horror, I was analysing the keywords: "Singapore entrepreneur forum", and realised that hardly anyone searches for it. So natural search engine traffic might be a problem.

However, we are still looking to increase visibility of SSuF, and all links to SSuF.biz will help. So to all members: if you have a website or blog, please link to us. Simple links from like facebook, twitter or other forums count too. Thank you for helping.

I believe that the best way to publicise SSuF is by getting a story out to the press. That will definitely help people find out about SSuF and what we can provide. Does anyone have any reporter friends?

If you have any ideas or recommendations please advise too.

I am an independent marketing consultant & also an executive adminstrator of a social networking forum based in Singapore..

Hello inle.

I think the first thing you can do to help is advise us on what to do. This site is new, and it seems like you've been through this stage before.

Advice from wise man is better than reading 100 books.

We are looking for more members, and to reach out to more entrepreneurs. We have a small budget and need to do so in the most cost effective manner possible. Any ideas on how to reach out to more entrepreneurs?

I have found a competitor to SSuF. A non-profit company called Project:Senso, which aims to connect entrepreneurs in Singapore and Malaysia. They already have a forum on their site, just like SSuF! And they have 5600 members.

Well, one things for sure, this forum definitely has a more neat and proper appearance than Project Senso's. Theirs looks messy to me.
