Hi to All Aspiring Entrepreneurs,

I have been reading this forum recently and found it interesting with all the budding entrepreneurs exchanging ideas.

Having the entrepreneurial spirit is already half the success in your quest for entrepreneurship. For the rest of that, you need hard work, planning, opportunities and most importantly, guidance.

A bit of my profile. I am a veteran in business whom started my own IT company with 2 friends almost 9 years ago. It grew into a multi-million company in 4 years. We sold our business just before the downturn to a public listed company. Today, it is part of a listed group which spans its business in many parts of Asia, middle East and Africa. I am officially retiring from the company soon. I have won several accolades for my achievement.

I am now looking into dedicating my time into mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs out there. I can be your motivator, counselor or advisor. Drop in your views on this. Thank you.

Well, I'm not sure how many folks are out there in this forum. I actually could hold a classroom session for free for those who are keen. My objectives are to find out what's the entrepreneurship level like in Singapore esp in this downturn. I would like to hear each of your thoughts in this area. At the same time, I can provide my opinions in your own particular field of interest. I had given several public speeches in schools on Entrepreneurship. But those are really students who only do it as a subject. Thus, I don't get the real feel on how budding Entrepreneurs think. In the long run, I wish to start running mentoring classes in this area.

Actually, if I can suggest, we can go to salchong's place where he holds his classroom sessions first, then we can decide to go for a drink or something. That will be considered a meet up also right, no need to crack our brains over the venue also...

I have yet to start running private classes and is taking my time to view some premises for rent. But if there are enough people here, say 10, I can book a room for discussions. Not sure how you guys normally have your gatherings.

I am currently organising a SSuF meet up somewhere in the middle of the month. Details still being finalised.

Do you think you will be able to make it down?

You can meet the other members, and see how you can teach the rest of us.

I have not seen any date set by Admin. Can someone enlighten me? My work schedule is rather packed this month. If there's a date, I will see if I can fit in. Otherwise, I would like to propose an alternative date.

Recently, I have been looking into diversifying my profession into conducting courses for entrepreneurship. I have spoken to some people and it seems quite difficult for me to start off alone. Thus, I am actually looking for like-minded people out here who may be keen to join me in this trade. I am looking for people who have business educational background like MBA and also experienced business people like myself to design a curriculum and start marketing. Please feel free to comment. Yes, it is going to be a chargeable course, but at much affordable rates than what's available commercially. I have given many public speeches on Entrepreneurship and mentoring (for free) and find there is definitely a demand in this area. Now, if the course is going to be chargeable, we need to do it professionally. If you are keen to join, we can discuss about it offline.
